Cornerback Richard Sherman will join Amazon Prime’s “Thursday Night Games” team to host pregame, halftime and postgame programming alongside Tony Gonzalez, NFL Jerseys Network reporters reported Tuesday.
The two in charge of the match commentary were Al Michaels and Kirk Herbstreit.
Jared Stacy, head of global live sports for Amazon Prime, said: “I am delighted to welcome off-field Richard wears Seattle Seahawks jerseys to the Thursday Night team. His knowledge of the modern NFL is unmatched by anyone who can watch every Thursday through Prime Video, and enjoy Richard’s bright personality and rugby mind.”
Sherman was a five-time All-NBA selection and won Super Bowl 48 with the Seahawks. After seven years with the Seahawks, he played three more years with the 49ers. Sherman also played five games for the Buccaneers in the 2021 season. He completed 37 interceptions and 116 destroyed passes in his career.
